The 2026 Asian Grand Prix in Tajikistan enters its third day today, Wednesday, October 7, and after various competitions were held during the first two days, the Main draw and several side events will resume in Dushanbe.
The tournament is being held from October 5 to 11 at the Kohi Navruz (Navruz Palace) complex in Dushanbe, with more than 300 players from different countries taking part. The event's guaranteed total prize pool has been announced as $500,000.
The Grand Prix Main Draw Continues Today
The most important part of today's schedule is the continuation of the Backgammon Main competition. According to the official tournament schedule, Round 4 of the Main draw begins at 15:40, followed by Round 5 at 17:40.
As a result, after two days of intense competition, players remaining in the Main draw will return to the board today to continue their campaigns in one of the most important sections of the 2026 Asian Grand Prix.
Competition in Sprint and Side Events
Today's schedule is not limited to the Main draw. According to the official schedule, Sprintgammon, Women's, Blitz and 1-point competitions will also continue.
