I was born in Romania in 1980, move to UK in 2008 and became a UK citizen in 2022. I start playing backgammon when I was 14 yo but with no cube. I discovered the cube when I came to the UK in 2008 and been playing with the cube since. My backgammon achievements are most online but in live tournaments this year was the most productive year. I lost my very first final at the London Memorial and two weeks late I managed to win my very first tournament at St Albans Open. International unfortunately I have no great achievements. I have been to my first international tournament in 2009 in Prague for the WSOB organized by late Andy Bell. Since then I`ve became a very well know player of our community. On the online platforms my best performance is by far the 3rd place in the World Team Championship along my fellow Romanians. I have been a constant part of the online and live Romanian team for couple of years now. Other great achievements are the tournaments organized by Arda, where I won twice The Legends and 2 big tournaments of over 100 players.
